The cathode is a Cs2Te film, prepared in date 23/06/2011 .

Cs2Te cathode in the transfer chamber at FLASH (used in DESY Gun4.2 for 91 days). If one zoomes in one 'clearly' can see the explanation for the dip in the QE map...

Photo of cathode, orientation as it was in gun. Again Cu like spot visible (much stronger than the one saw on the other side after 91 days of op.), appeared within a week! On front surface of the cathode nothing is visible what could explain the current problems with the gun.

Photo of cathode as insertde now. 180 deg rotated, so now again as before Tuesday 16th of May. The old Cu spot is visible but much smaller as the one 180 deg rotated.
